Paris, Tenn. – The highly anticipated Annual Ed Roberts Caring Hearts Cancer Survivors Dinner is back in 2023, promising an evening of hope and inspiration for cancer survivors and their guests. Barbara Roberts, the original founder of the event, is coordinating this heartwarming gathering, with support from Henry County Medical Center (HCMC), the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation, and the HCMC Volunteer Auxiliary.
The first Caring Hearts dinner was held in the basement of HCMC in the Cancer Center and has since grown to accommodate 300 attendees, prompting changes in venue locations over the years. This year, the event is set to take place at Maplewood Baptist Church on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6 p.m.
At the heart of this event is the Caring Hearts Fund, a crucial initiative under the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation. This fund plays a pivotal role in the community by providing essential financial support to cancer patients. Assistance includes help with co-pays, premiums, medications, and transportation, with a particular focus on those residing in the surrounding counties who are receiving care in Henry County.
The success of the Annual Ed Roberts Caring Hearts Cancer Survivors Dinner hinges on the generosity of community sponsors. These contributions enable the organizers to provide a memorable meal, thoughtful gifts to cancer survivors and are invaluable in making this event truly special.
