Darrell Everett Watson

Mr. Darrell Everett Watson, 70 of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Houston County Community Hospital.

He was born on May 30, 1953 in Peoria, IL, the beloved son of the late James Everett and Louise Allen Watson.Darrell was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a faithful servant and member of Carlisle Missionary Baptist Church.  Professionally, Darrell was an appraiser, auctioneer, and a Realtor.  Personally, Darrell was an outdoorsman, a mentor and sponsor, and a friend to just about everyone.  He had a passion for helping those in need.  He wasn’t without fault and he spent the last several years working to strengthen his faith in God.  He unconditionally loved all his family and friends.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved son, Chris Watson.Darrell is survived by his loving and cherished family; wife, Cynthia Kent; children, Darrell E. Watson, Jr. (Jeannie), Lindsay Melson (Thor), Jake Watson (Stephanie) and Emily Bieda (Allan); brother, Bryan Watson (Tracy); grandchildren, Walker Watson, Wyleigh Watson, Waverly Watson, Wrigley Watson, Aiden Watson, Miles Watson, Gunnar Melson, and Emily Mills.A visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 beginning at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 24, 2023. Visitation will resume on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Bro. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens.Those serving as pallbearers are Quinn Garner, Darrell Watson, Jr., Jake Watson, Walker Watson, Aiden Watson, Miles Watson, Gunnar Melson and Wrigley Watson. Honorary pallbearers are Neal Wallace, Steve Crow, and Dustin Lewis.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darrell’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s Love to the rescue, or charity of your choice.Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN and online condolences may be made at anglinfuneralhome.com.
