
Dover, TN – Public facilities of the Fort Donelson National Battlefield will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, while the national park grounds and roads will be open for visitor use and enjoyment.
Public facilities to be closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, include the park Visitor Center, historic Dover Hotel, national cemetery Carriage House, and park comfort stations. Each will reopen for their normally scheduled access the following day.
Park grounds, trails, and roads of the Fort Donelson units will be accessible on the holiday during their regularly posted hours. Pedestrian access hours to the park are from sunrise to sunset, with vehicle access to the Fort Donelson Park Road, Graves’ Battery Road, and the National Cemetery Drive from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
