Camden City Hall To Close To Walk-In Traffic

Camden, Tenn.–Camden Mayor Roger Pafford has announced that City Hall will be closed to walk-in traffic beginning Thursday, but assures citizens that offices will continue serving customers in other ways.

The press release issued by the city of Camden is as follows:

“City of Camden Mayor Roger Pafford and his staff of department heads have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on our community, and he has been in contact with state health officials to stay informed of this health crisis. At this time all city services are still operational, and we continue to serve our citizens and customers in every capacity. The health and safety of our citizens, customers, and our employees in every city department are our top priority. In an effort to limit social contact to protect our citizens and employees, Mayor Pafford is implementing the following protective measures and protocols:

1. Beginning Thursday, March 19, 2020, Camden City Hall will be closed to walk-in traffic, but our offices will continue to serve our customers during normal business hours.
2. Water bills and city property taxes can still be paid through the drive-in window during normal business hours or the night drop box after normal business hours.
3. Water bills can also be paid online via our website, www.cityofcamdentn.com.
4. Customers can also set up automatic bank draft as a convenient option to pay water bills.
5. All water service disconnects have been temporarily suspended until further notice.
6. We are still available by phone to answer any questions or service requests at 731-584-4656.

The Camden Water Department remains dedicated and will continue to operate to provide vital water and sewer services for our customers throughout this event, and we will continue toclosely monitor the situation and modify any protocols accordingly. We encourage our customers to monitor this event at CDC.GOV or TN.GOV for the most up to date information.”
