Hardin County, Tenn.–Search and recovery operations on Day Four of the search for the three missing boaters from Obion County Central High School began at 8 a.m. this morning with 15 boats conducting surface and sonar scans on the Tennessee River.
Two helicopters and one airplane are assisting with aerial scans along the river and surrounding land.
The Stratos bass boat containing 43-year old Kenneth Driver and two 15-year-old boys was last seen Saturday on a picture captured above Pickwick Dam. As reported earlier, the TWRA made the difficult decision to transition to recovery operations due to the extensive damage to the boat recovered Monday morning near the Savannah bridge, water flow, water temperature, and air temperature.
The three missing boaters were on a team participating with Obion County Central High School at a fishing tournament at Pickwick Lake over the weekend. Kenneth Driver is the father of one of the boys and was serving as a chaperone/guide.
TWRA will provide an update at 5 p.m.
